Cesar Jimenez is a Senior Analyst with Pyramid Research’s Regional Research team. He is based out of the company’s headquarters in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Cesar is responsible for following economic trends in the fixed and mobile communications markets in Latin America with a focus on forecasting market performance in Mexico, Colombia, Ecuador and the Caribbean Region. Some of his projects include contributing to building a detailed data base of ICT markets in Latin America, and competition analysis in the Colombian market.
Prior to joining Pyramid, Cesar worked as Coordinator of Regulatory and Market Analysis for Nextel de Mexico. Prior to that, Cesar completed a professional internship at the Antitrust Agency of Spain, based in Madrid. Cesar also served as Director of Regulatory Processes and Deputy Director of International Regulation at Cofetel (the Mexican telecom regulator); prior to which he was Telecom Analyst at Select.
Cesar holds a Master in Economics and Regulation of Network Public Services from the University of Barcelona, a Diploma in Public Economy from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), and a Specialty Degree in International Marketing from Universidad Panamericana. He also holds a BA in International Relations from UNAM. Cesar Jimenez is Mexican, native Spanish speaker and fluent in English.
