Tae’s work focuses on emerging technologies in Asia, and follows the Japanese, Korean and Taiwanese markets. He recently completed works on Japan’s new mobile entrant and Korea’s changing regulatory system. Tae is currently working on a report about fixed broadband forecast in the AP region. He will continuously follow developments in the region, focusing on the deployment of WiMAX.
Prior to joining Pyramid Research, Tae had served as a sergeant at the Combined Forces Command / United Nations Command in Seoul, coordinating operations between ROK and US forces. In addition, he had interned at the compliance department of Woori Financial Services, assisting in establishing benchmarks for the firm.
Tae recently graduated from Middlebury College with Honors, where he was a Charles A. Dana Scholar. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in East Asian Studies with a focus on Economics and China. He is bilingual in Korean and English and is proficient in Mandarin and Japanese. He enjoys traveling, reading, dancing and mixing music.
