Stela Bokun Senior Analyst / Practice Leader, Mobile Devices
Stela Bokun is heading Mobile Devices Practice in Pyramid Research. In this capacity, Stela is responsible for growing Pyramid’s global consulting business as it relates to mobile devices and adjacent themes in the wireless segment. Based out of the company’s London office, she is responsible for coordinating the work and building capacity of the Pyramid’s devices team, which is comprised of eight regional device specialists. In that role, Stela manages Pyramid’s global handsets forecast production (for 51 countries and six regions) as well as the production of all other deliverables (thematic reports, Insiders, etc.) related to mobile devices.
Over the last several years Stela has been managing or executing a number of custom research engagements ranging from developing go-to-market strategies for large OEMs, analyzing the lifetime value of different devices in mobile service providers’ portfolios, advising OEMs on device distribution strategies, market sizing and analyzing future device market demand for a range of players in the wireless sub-segment of the communications market.

Stela has also presented at numerous industry conferences (the most recent engagements include: NFC Payments Europe, Capacity Balkans 2011, IPTV Forum — Eastern Europe and EuroAsia 2010, and Capacity Central and Eastern Europe 2010) and is often quoted in telecom industry publications (NFC Times, Light Reading, Network World, The Guardian, BBC, Wireless Federation, Total Telecom, BGR, etc.).
Stela Bokun joined Pyramid Research in 2007 after obtaining a Master in Public Policy at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government. At Harvard, her policy area of expertise was International Trade and Finance, and she minored in Macroeconomics. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Charleston, in 2001, majoring in Political Science/Pre-Law. Prior to her graduate studies, Stela had four years of professional experience in private sector and government consulting in Serbia, Montenegro and Spain.
Stela’s native language is Serbian and she is fluent in Spanish and English. In her spare time, Stela closely follows events on the US and UK political scenes, studies the Turkish language, and enjoys reading and watching good movies.
