As a Senior Analyst covering the Middle East and Africa for Pyramid Research, Dearbhla tracks and forecasts the region’s fixed, mobile and media markets, specializing in Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Iran. Her recent consulting engagements include several Middle Eastern fixed and mobile license bids and due diligence projects in Africa. Her ongoing research focuses on fixed and mobile broadband adoption and on the evolution of mobile finance. She is based in the company’s headquarters in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Prior to joining Pyramid, Dearbhla worked as a Media Analyst at The Rendon Group, where she analyzed and tracked local responses to issues of interest to clients by reading Saudi newspapers daily. Topics covered ranged from the War on Terrorism, to economics and cultural affairs.
Dearbhla holds a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from Harvard, and a Masters of Arts in Arab Studies from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. Along with English, Dearbhla is fluent in both French and Arabic.
