A sizable uptick in mobile broadband adoption will precipitate this dominance by connectivity because the number of 3G base stations have exploded and competitive pricing for mobile broadband subscription options have flourished in the past year. In addition, the number of data cards/modems users is projected to swell from nearly 2.0 million in 2012 to 3.7 million by 2017, and revenue from them will grow from $955 million to $2.6 billion during the same period. Overall, mostly through infotainment connectivity, data will comprise more than 41 percent of ARPS by 2017.
Turkey: FTTH Deployments Drive Broadband Growth as Operator Competition Heats Up is part of Pyramid Research’s Africa and the Middle East Intelligence Report Series and is priced at $990.
