Cambridge, Massachusetts- November 1, 2011- The mobile broadband devices ecosystem, which is being bombarded with new devices, new features and new market entrants on a monthly basis, presents both an opportunity and a risk for those conducting business in this space, according to Stela Bokun, Senior Analyst and Pyramid’s Practice Leader for Mobile Devices.

Many MNOs are revising their strategies to address the emergence of new devices and their technologies and features, the subsidy schemes and business models some devices call for, the impact of increasing data usage, as well as the delicate balance they must strike between budget constraints and taking advantage of new revenue streams. These issues, coupled with the fact that the distribution model for mobile broadband devices varies across different regions leave MNOs in need of practical independent advice from those who assist them on their mobile projects and deployments.

The Mobile Broadband Devices Insight Pack  offers analysis on current and future trends in mobile broadband devices unit sell-through globally, device vendor competitive landscape, analysis of the most important distribution channels, as well as devices’ revenue and average selling price evolution trends. This Pack also examines how this proliferation of mobile broadband is, in part, driven by the abundant array of available mobile broadband devices, such as smartphones, USB dongles and laptops, but is also giving rise to some new mobile device form factors, such as tablets. The Insight Pack’s Report is delivered in PowerPoint format and accompanied by an Excel file that contains all the data underlying the report and forecasts, as well as one hour webinar session. It also includes a live session with a Pyramid Research consultant, giving you quick and direct insight into key trends.

The Mobile Broadband Devices Insight Pack  is priced at $6490 and available for purchase online or through emailing sales@pyr.com.
